Context

The achievements  of the japanese cooperation in Cameroon testifys to the dynamics of the relationship between the two countries ( construction and equiptment of primary schools, supply of portable drinking water, distribution of treated mosquito nets, numerous grants for local projects, etc.)

 

The number of Japanese citizens visiting Cameroon has increased ( JICA Voulenteers, Diplomats, Researchers, University Lecturers, Technicians, Students, Clerics, Tourists, ETC) over the years.

Many Cameroonians are eager to discover Japan and its rich culture. Hassan, nicknamed Japanese of the Savannah, of Doualayel (Adamawa province) learned the Japanese language through the Japanese radio station, NHK.

 

The existence of Monbukagakusho scholorship for students has sharpened the interest of parents to send their children to Japan for studies. More and more Cameroonians in various sectors travel to Japan yearly. In order to Facilitate these exchanges, the Africa Japan House was created to enhance mutual understanding between the people of Cameroon and Japan.
